Mother's Day and Birthday

NEW BLOG made for age SEVEN.

I have to say everything went sparodic for these events.  All week Grandson has been recieving gifts from toys to his martial art supplies.  Even Mother's Day for me was like everyday, until today.

Right now, Grandson is 7.  He use to be up there with the six year olds as in size, but now he is a short 7 year old.  haha, he's growing though, he'll be up there with the rest soon.

When I was holding him this morning, I asked him "Do you remember, 'Muffin Gwammah, I'm doin' muffin gwammah?'"  We had a good laugh.

Grandson's homeschooling is coming great, best part of it is he still remembers from Kindergarten.  This last public school was a total waste I think, had we still lived in Bloomfield and with him in Private School, he would have been way ahead.  It's okay, he's going to do just fine.  Right now, he is working on 2nd Grade and it's easy for him.  I'm glade he comprehends easy.

Taekwondo, he's the best in his age group.  Even though the other children have Green Belts, he kicks way better than them and you can hear his kicks, and his forms (whistle), awesome!  He has five forms down with grace.  He even breaks green belt boards, well those are rebreakables so yahh..

At home, cool kiddy.  He does a lot of playing on the basketball court, riding on his scooter.  Sometimes when I feel like baking in the sun he rides his bike with his friends.  Sometimes Troy let's him stand on his pegs and go riding around like that.  As far as chores, he does them every morning like a champ, he doesn't even need to be reminded.

Holiday came and went

Just like the days.  Yesterday was Easter day, Grandson was so thrilled over the big chocalate bunny.  Saturday I was at a Wedding so the boys had their fun at the park.

We have been going to the local community park to play basketball, baseball, and so on.  Soon the swimming pool will be open.  I guess you have an idea where we will be in the mornings.. at the POOL!

GRANDSON: Grandpa, I would like to be an Astronaut one day, Ok? But not today, someday. Just one day, Grandpa. GRANDPA: (busy prepping for Brunch) Ok.

Second Tournament

Today was the day my baby Grandson has been training hard everyday for. Unfortunately for him, he came in second.  First round was a breeze and he wiped the boy all over the mat, well it was easy because he was a yellow belt.  Seemed so unfair, I rather he spar with his ranking.  The second round, he was with Orange Stripe belt, a bit older and a bit more experienced..but it was going great.  Grandson was popping those points like nothing, he was 12 points ahead.  Then all of the sudden after Grandson kicked him above the hip, the boy cried and cried.  He was given a minute to recuperate...  I thought he got kicked in the groin, because he was holding that area..  I felt horrible.  Well, when I was looking at the photos, he was nowhere near that area..  Anywhooo... I don't know what happened but Grandson got bombed with headshots, and Grandson was at lost.  Yep, he lost by 4 points (15-11).  I think he was more in shock he lost, then knowing he got blown away by head shots.

At first he was a bit upset knowing he was coming in second, then later he just said "Darn, I was hoping to win."  But, he is so ready to go to another Tournament.  Since this was a State Championship TKD, he qualified to the Nationals in Texas.

Struck again

Yesterday in the afternoon around 3pm Detective Monica and a officer arrived at our house and told me a report has been filed by his Grandmother and his mother. I kidnapped him six years ago and they have been unable to see him since. I said "Not true, just last month she walk away without saying hello to her son at my mother's house. " I told them I was expecting them soon, the detective asked me why, I told her because they need him for his money and his disability status. They were living with my mom until she got a restraining order on the parents and kicked them out. I told them the whole history and this is not the first time they did this to me. The detective looked at the papers and said I need to get it updated and re-file in court unless I want them to keep coming to my home. I said "I know, we just don't have the money for an attorney they all want atleast $5000.00 retainer fee." Granson said tell them to leave me alone, they can visit me here at my house. I told them everything about my sister, what she did to me as far as getting the FBI, Govt somebody, harassing, and so on. She asked me why doesn't Ramona have custody of him, I said because she does drugs and I took all of her kids away through court. She said Okay, and left.

Dishwashing..

Well, we had a busy start this morning.  Grandpa asked Grandson to get a bowl of dry dog food for Buddy.  That's just about how far Grandpa got, he got side tracked with things that needed to be done.  I went to my office to get my photos done.

Sometime later,  I heard Grandpa thanking me for feeding Buddy.  I said Grandson must of done it, because I didn't do it.  I heard Grandpa thanking Grandson.  Grandson came into my office and gave me an presentaton on how to wash dishes.  He said "First you have to put dishsoap in, just a little bit.  Fill the sink about this much, not too much.  Then you put a dish in there and scrub it good, then you put it in the other sink and rinse really good.  Then you set it out to dry."  All this while using gestures with his hands.  Boy did he look serious.

I gave him a big hug, and laughed...  I told him, he is going to hate the idea he learned to wash dishes on his own, and feeling so PROUD doing it.  In about 10 more years he'll be kicking himself. lol.

He is learning his way around the kitchen fast!  He knows how to set the table, he knows how to operate the microwave, he knows what ingredients are used for certain meals, he knows the art of making toast and buttering, he is only allowed to 'cut' things with butterknife.. so he helps in that area, like cut bananas for desert..  He's too sweet.  Now, he knows how to wash dishes.  I guess the dishwasher is boring.. hahaha

Yesterday while I was busy with Photo Sessions, the boys spent the day at museums down in Old Town.  WOW!  What a learning experience it was for him.  Grandson had so much to tell me, makes me very happy to hear him talk about his experiences.

This morning he was talking about being baptized, and how Grandpa is going to give him his Bible and Book of Mormon to him..  He wants to go to meetings with Grandpa, he said I can't go to Priesthood meetings with Grandpa yet, until I'm 12.

------------------------------

Mom told me she did have Shane and Danielle served with Restraining Order and now they are living in Two Grey Hills with her mom and other relatives.  She said she heard they were sleeping in the car and their daughter is sick.  Mom also learned they were expecting another baby soon, and they both are unemployed.  After a few days, mom felt bad and thought about their situation.  I think she is going to let them move back (again).  This is why I stay out of it.  I told her to stop it..

So happy he finally got it!

Okay, finally he is getting the idea of WINNing points. Yes, again in TKD. It was nice he was BOLD during sparring. Aggression is nice, but pointless if you are just attacking and making NO points.

Yesterday, a whole class of counter move... notice it's not plural. It finally struck him, whereas the other children and even adults didn't get it. During practice he executed those moves and YAY! THEY WORK!! and he didn't tire out quickly or even SWEAT!!

During each spar.. he did the counter moves and only went in for the points while his partners jumped to kick, continously had their 'Chickenfight' moves. He used all his kicks, and again only when the spot was available he went in quickly and zapped his partners.

The boy that use to be the top kid.. runs from Grandson and will NOT pick him for a partner, and even during rotation he will try to sneak to another part of the line. The other boy that we thought was better, he has been relying alot on just pushing and hitting.. well, Grandson knows a counter move for that and yesterday he got slammed bad by Grandson, the boy cried and got very angry with Grandson. But Grandson would slow down for him and gently kick him, encouraging him not to quit because he got hurt. Very good sportsman, our little Grandson.

---------

This morning.. while he was having breakfast he asked when are we going 'outside', I asked which one? Back or Front and for what? He says front and with Buddy for a walk. I said "Shhhhh.. don't say that yet. I haven't gotten dressed yet. (for the day) Don't say (used my fingers for walking). Grandson says "For a 'STROLL' Grandma, he doesn't know what a 'stroll' is."

Taught the first few minutes in TKD.

Don't want to brag, but Master asked Grandson to go in the middle and start the class off.  He didn't hesitate.  He gave out his commands like a champ.  Since we have been there, he is the first youngest individuals to start the class, usually the higher ranking belts go and start off.

Must I say how proud we were?  And he did everything just right, the class even repeated after him.. Sweeeeet!

SO PROUD OF YOU GRANDSON.

School.  We are not happy with Public School here.. seems like we wasted a whole year with him learning the same stuff in Preschool, and Kindergartner..  So, I will be getting him ready for Private School next year.  Next week I am buying BEKA books to get him going.
